Are you a dedicated and experienced Cook who likes to work in a team in a regional hospital setting, delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that support patient care and wellbeing.  This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team where your work directly contributes to patient recovery, staff wellbeing, and the broader community.

In this rewarding role, you’ll prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and wellbeing of patients, aged care residents and the local community. With flexible 7-day rostering, this position offers excellent work-life balance in a welcoming regional setting.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Are you reliable, efficient, and committed to supporting the smooth operation of a health unit?
  • Are you an experienced cook, particularly in healthcare and aged care services
  • Do you have a sound knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices?
  • Are you ready to contribute to a positive team environment while delivering essential support services?

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

You will……….

  • Prepare, cook, and present meals in line with menu plans and dietary guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards
  • Adapt meals to meet specific patient dietary needs (e.g. texture-modified, allergies, cultural preferences)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste
  • Contribute to a positive team culture focused on quality and care
