About the Roles
The Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN) is seeking experienced and senior nurses to join a variety of leadership and specialised clinical roles across multiple sites in the Murray and Mallee region. These opportunities provide the chance to lead teams, influence service delivery, and provide expert, high-quality care while developing professional and leadership skills.
In the role of Clinical Nurse - Stomal Therapy (RN/M2C), you will deliver specialised nursing care for patients with stomas, manage a defined caseload, provide expert clinical advice, and act as a professional resource to colleagues while ensuring best-practice care for your patients.
In the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Continence Advisor (RN/M2A), you will deliver specialised continence nursing and/or midwifery care, manage a defined caseload, provide expert clinical advice, and act as a professional resource to colleagues while ensuring best-practice care for your patients.
In the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager (RN/M2A), you will deliver nursing and/or midwifery care, provide leadership and support to colleagues, manage a portfolio of responsibilities, and act as a professional resource while ensuring best-practice, patient-centred care.
In the role of Nurse Unit Manager (RN/M3), you will coordinate and lead nursing, midwifery, and/or multidisciplinary team activities, manage patient care delivery, provide expert clinical guidance, and act as a professional resource to colleagues while ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care.
In the role of Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager - Aged Care (RN/M3), you will lead aged care nursing teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, overseeing service delivery, implementing practice improvements, and supporting the professional development of staff to achieve positive outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
RN/M2C
- Provide proficient, person-centred clinical care, monitor care plans, and oversee nursing within the team/unit.
- Assist Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in management, clinical, and education activities; plan and coordinate multidisciplinary services; support change management.
- Participate in clinical teaching, mentor students and less experienced staff, and support professional development portfolios.
- Engage in clinical audits, trials, or evaluative research; apply evidence-based knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Provide leadership on shift, promote continuity of care, and act as a professional resource within the team.
RN/M2A
- Deliver proficient, person-centred clinical care in the ED and oversee patient flow and team activities.
- Assist Unit Manager in management, planning, and coordination of services, support change management and problem resolution.
- Participate in clinical teaching and mentoring; foster a learning culture and maintain professional portfolios.
- Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement projects, or research to enhance care outcomes.
- Provide shift-by-shift leadership, act as a resource, and manage assigned portfolio responsibilities.
RN/M3
- Provide expert clinical care and lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of patient/client care.
- Lead implementation of policies, risk management, quality improvement, and resource management; coordinate local operational processes.
- Maintain a professional practice portfolio; develop team capability, coach staff, and support student placements.
- Monitor and evaluate research to improve practice; implement evidence-based improvements to service delivery.
- Provide professional leadership, mentorship, and act as a role model, lead service improvement, education, and competency frameworks.

Barmera Health Service
Barmera is situated approximately 220 kilometres north-east of Adelaide. Barmera has 18 acute beds, and 80 residential aged care beds.

Lameroo District Health Service
Located approximately 200 kilometres south-east of Adelaide and approximately 130 kilometres east of Murray Bridge, Lameroo has 8 acute beds and 16 residential aged care beds.
- RN3A – Nurse Unit Manager – Ongoing – 1FTE
Loxton Hospital Complex
Loxton is situated approximately 263 kilometres north-east of Adelaide. Loxton has 22 acute beds and 58 residential aged care beds.
- RN2A – Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Aged Care – Ongoing -1FTE
Community and Allied Health
Incorporates two main centres; one in Murray Bridge and one in Berri, with other satellite sites located in the Mallee (Lameroo, Pinnaroo, Karoonda), Coorong (Meningie, Tintinara, Coonalpyn), and the Riverland (Barmera, Loxton, Waikerie, Renmark). Services provided include Allied Health, Community Nursing and Community based Aged Care Services, such as Community Home Support Program and the Support at Home Program and NDIS services.
