As a casual Orderly, you will play an important role in the smooth running of our healthcare services, assisting with essential tasks that directly enhance patient experiences and support staff efficiency. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who want to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our community on a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Transportation: Safely and courteously transport patients throughout the Health Service, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Equipment Management: Collect, deliver, and return medical equipment and supplies as needed, supporting the smooth operation of clinical activities.
  • Specimen Handling: Transport specimens to designated areas, maintaining proper procedures to ensure their integrity.
  • Linen Services: Deliver clean linen to patient areas and remove dirty linen promptly, contributing to a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Waste Management: Remove rubbish and other waste materials to maintain a clean and orderly environment within the facility.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong team player with the ability to collaborate with staff across various levels.
  • Flexibility in work approach and rostering to meet operational needs.
  • A proactive communicator with effective interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • Experience in housekeeping, catering/catering, or laundry services is highly valued.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
