Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is one of the largest regional hospitals in South Australia, offering 75 beds, including flex beds and a dedicated High Dependency Unit. We provide a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, medical and surgical services, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatient clinics. Our Cancer Resource Centre is among the largest in regional SA, featuring six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care, and counselling services - helping patients receive vital treatment close to home. We are also proud to be one of only three regional stroke services in South Australia, delivering specialised stroke treatment 24/7 in partnership with metropolitan stroke units. Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Whyalla

 

About the Role:

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will support the Registered Nurse/Midwife in delivering person-centred care that aligns with regulatory and statutory requirements. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will contribute to the provision of safe and effective nursing care within the healthcare team. In this role, you will develop your practice from a novice to a proficient Enrolled Nurse while remaining accountable for your own actions and responsibilities in providing nursing care.

 

About You:

  • Enrolled or eligible for enrolment as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Experience in the provision of nursing care in the healthcare setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.

Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
