Bringing high-level scientific expertise and project management capability, you will develop detailed project plans, oversee governance frameworks, coordinate procurement and vendor evaluation, and manage installation, configuration and User Acceptance Testing for new systems and technologies. You will actively contribute to quality management in line with NPAAC requirements, including validation protocols, risk management, document control and compliance reporting, while supporting teaching, research, publication and professional development initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced scientist who thrives in a clinically focused, stakeholder-rich environment and is passionate about innovation, digital transformation and delivering measurable improvements in diagnostic workflow and patient care.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will meet the essential minimum criteria as defined by the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council (NPAAC), holding an AQF Level 7 qualification (or recognised equivalent) that meets the requirements for Medical Scientists in accredited pathology laboratories. You are an experienced scientific leader with extensive diagnostic expertise, strong analytical capability and a passion for innovation, quality and continuous improvement.

  • Qualified & Expert in Practice – NPAAC-compliant AQF Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) with in-depth knowledge of routine diagnostic histopathology, histotechnology and accreditation standards (ISO/NATA).
