About the role

As a Registered Nurse (EN) in the 2026 Country Sites Candidate Pool, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver compassionate, person-centred care while building your confidence and capability in a supportive regional environment. This role offers the space to grow—from a developing practitioner to a proficient clinician—supported by experienced colleagues, varied clinical exposure and a team culture that values learning, collaboration and genuine connection with the communities you serve.

Employees classified at this level provide nursing services in health service settings. Employees working within this level develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice. They consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. An employee at this level accepts accountability for his or her own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others. In this role, you’ll contribute to a positive, team-focused environment by supporting students, Assistants in Nursing and junior Enrolled Nurses, while working closely with SAMI colleagues and external partners to ensure the best outcomes for the people in your care.

About You

You’re an Enrolled Nurse who is committed to delivering safe, person-centred care and contributing positively to a collaborative healthcare team. You bring a mix of clinical capability, sound judgement and a willingness to grow your professional practice.

  • Registered (or eligible) Enrolled Nurse with medication administration training
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to prioritise care, recognise changes in condition and provide person-centred support
  • Understanding of the EN role, standards and legislation, supported by practical nursing experience
