About the role

The Administrative Coordinator of Paediatric Outpatients oversees outpatient administration, staff supervision, and clinic scheduling to ensure an efficient and high‑quality service. The Administrative Coordinator manages booking templates, data accuracy, training, and stakeholder liaison to support smooth clinic operations and optimise patient experience.

Key duties of the role

  • Liaise effectively with stakeholders to support accurate, timely, and well-designed outpatient booking templates.
  • Roster an appropriate number and skill mix of administrative staff in outpatient areas.
  • Work closely with relevant managers to provide up-to-date information on all matters relating to clinic scheduling and outpatient administration.
  • Monitor statistical information relating to patient attendances.
  • Contribute to effective computerised patient database requirements by participating in EMR, OACIS and other testing.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a similar role, highlighting sound organisational skills and the ability to prioritise varying and conflicting workloads
  • Experience in providing quality customer orientated (departmental) services in a complex organisation.
  • Experience in staff supervision and team building.
  • High level competency in word processing, excel, power point, outlook calendar.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement.
