An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Regional Nurse/Midwife Educator to join the Limestone Coast Local Health Network (LCLHN).

In this influential role, you will support the professional development of nursing and midwifery staff across the region by designing, delivering and evaluating innovative education programs. You will play a key role in strengthening workforce capability, improving clinical practice and ensuring high standards of patient care across the network.

About the Role

As a Regional Nurse/Midwife Educator (RN/M3), you will use your clinical expertise and education experience to deliver training, learning resources and professional development opportunities for nurses and midwives across the health network.

You will contribute to workforce capability by supporting clinical education, leading education initiatives and assisting staff to translate evidence-based knowledge into practice. The role also involves coordinating projects, supporting students and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate and deliver education and training programs for nursing and midwifery staff.
  • Support clinical learning and professional development across hospital and community health services.
  • Lead and contribute to education initiatives, projects and service improvement activities.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and leadership to nurses, midwives and students.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and contemporary clinical education methods.
  • Monitor and evaluate education programs to ensure they meet organisational standards and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers and clinical leaders to support workforce capability development.
  • Contribute to research, quality improvement and innovation within nursing and midwifery education.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse or midwife who is passionate about education and workforce development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Minimum 3 years post-registration clinical experience
  • Demonstrated experience in nursing or midwifery education, staff development or clinical training
  • Highly developed leadership, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to design, coordinate and evaluate education programs
  • Ability to lead change and support workforce capability through education initiatives
  • Knowledge of quality improvement systems and healthcare governance

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Education, Nursing, Midwifery or related discipline
  • Experience in curriculum development, simulation-based education or research
  • Knowledge of the South Australian public health system
