This part-time, short-term contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to advance your paediatric career within our renowned Southern Adelaide Local Health Network until 31 January 2027.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Head of Unit this role is responsible for providing clinical services of the highest possible standard to paediatric patients of Flinders Medical Centre both in terms of individual performance and by contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Communicates effectively with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professionals
  • Acts as a role model for medical students and junior medical staff
  • Participates in continuing medical education activities
  • Demonstration of high-level time management skills/punctuality
  • Management of acutely ill children presenting to and admitted of FMC

About you:

  • Registrable with the Medical Board Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration
  • A commitment to providing a quality service to patients and their families
  • High level skills in problem solving and decision making
  • Commitment to clinical audit

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a MDP2 or MDP3 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
