About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an experienced and dedicated Obstetrics and Gynaecology Consultant to join the Women and Children’s Division. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high‑quality care within a dynamic and expanding health service committed to excellence in women’s health.
As a senior clinician, you will play a pivotal role in managing the care of patients in collaboration with Resident Medical Officers, Registrars, fellow Consultants, Midwives, Nurses and Allied Health professionals. Your responsibilities will include participation in the after‑hours on‑call roster (first and second on‑call), supervision and management of the Labour Ward, and the management of gynaecological emergencies. You will also contribute to continuous quality improvement, auditing, and ongoing education activities.
Flexible rostering may include involvement in obstetric and gynaecology clinics, theatre lists, junior doctor teaching and supervision, clinical research, and providing inclusive women’s health care to all patients. Administrative duties as required by the department also form part of this role.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

Experience in supervising junior medical staff, leading clinical teams, participating in quality improvement initiatives and engaging in research or teaching activities will further strengthen your suitability for this senior role.
