About the role

The Revenue Officer processes hospital and private practice billing, including the generation of invoices and claims, and the monitoring of outstanding debtor balances. The Revenue Officer handles reconciliations, payment reviews, and data entry while liaising with internal teams and external payers to ensure accurate, timely revenue outcomes.

Key duties of the role

  • Raise patient invoices and input into computer systems
  • Prepare and input patient billing data
  • Review and analyse payment rejections and prepare resubmissions
  • Maintain databases
  • Prepare reports and reconciliations

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in computer applications and computerised accounting and billing systems
  • Experience in data entry of financial information and statistics
  • Knowledge of billing/receivables/cashiering processes
  • Ability to collect and analyse information and to develop effective solutions
  • Demonstrated accurate and efficient data entry and computer skills
