About the role

The Clinical Psychologist delivers expert mental health care to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, leads multidisciplinary practice, provides supervision, conducts advanced assessments and therapies, and drives service quality and safety across Child and Adolescent Mental Health at WCHN.

Key duties of the role

  • Responsible for a direct clinical case load
  • Assess and develop formulations for both individuals and families
  • Implement evidenced-based individual, family and/or other group therapies
  • Undertake observational and standardised, reliable and validated psychometric assessments
  • Act as a consultant and resource person to CAMHS

Skills and Experience

  • Must hold an appropriate degree (Master’s Degree in Clinical and/or Educational/Developmental Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA

  • Clinical experience in the delivery of mental health psychology services to children and adolescents
  • Experience in the supervision of clinical staff in a mental health setting
  • Ability to carry out psychology assessments and therapeutic interventions
  • Experience in assessing and developing therapeutic plans with children and adolescents with developmental delay or disability
  • Advanced clinical experience in evidence based clinical modalities relevant to Child and Adolescent Mental Health
