WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive paediatric service while developing advanced clinical skills across a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, neonatal and emergency care settings. You will manage paediatric patients under the supervision of experienced Consultants, with structured opportunities to contribute to both acute and planned care.

The position supports progression through an advanced training year in Paediatrics (where applicable) and provides exposure to continuous quality improvement, ongoing education, and multidisciplinary collaboration. You will gain valuable experience across clinics, inpatient and tertiary paediatric settings, while participating in a roster that includes evenings, weekends and periodic outreach to Kangaroo Island, supported by 24/7 consultant backup.

  • Acute and elective paediatric and neonatal care, including supervised births and outreach services.

  • You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You must have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration.
