Overview:

The Manager, Operational Readiness is accountable for leading the operational planning, management and implementation of the SA Health’s Emergency Disaster Management preparedness and response activities.  This will include special projects, policy, framework and state level plan development and maintenance to ensure a consistent, integrated and best practice approach across the State.

The Manager, Operational Readiness is accountable to the Director for:

Focus Area – Operational Readiness

  • Leading the development and implementation of SA Health’s Disaster Emergency Management and Resilience Program and special projects
  • Leading the development and implementation of a robust Planning, Preparedness, Response and Recovery (PPRR) framework for SA Health
  • Leading the development and exchange of relevant information

Focus Area - Capability Development

  • Participating in the development and delivery of training, exercise and development activities

Focus Area - Strategy & Leadership

  • Providing expert and authoritative advice on all elements of emergency management and business continuity to SA Health and other government and non-government clients and stakeholders
  • Developing and sustaining intra and inter-agency relationships that support collaborative disaster emergency management planning

Focus Area - Incident Operations

  • Participating in emergency response and coordination

Criminal History Screening Requirement

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
