Join SA Health's Mount Barker Hospital in the picturesque Adelaide Hills as a Clinical Nurse specialising in Palliative Care. This ongoing part-time position (30.4 hours per fortnight) offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives during their most vulnerable moments. Working within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, you will provide compassionate, person-centred clinical nursing care to patients and their families. HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Deliver proficient, person‑centred palliative nursing care and case management across home, hospital and community settings, ensuring safe, evidence‑based care for clients and their families.

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible clinical and psychosocial outcomes.

  • Provide leadership, support and guidance to Enrolled Nurses, students and less experienced staff, fostering a positive learning culture within the palliative care team.

  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement by participating in service development, clinical audits and practice review, and by taking part in the palliative care on‑call roster as required.

  • Qualifications relevant to palliative care are desirable.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

  • You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries.  Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You will be required to hold registration with AHPRA to practice as a Registered Nurse within our organisation.
