About the role: 

Reporting to the Advanced Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Providing professional clinical supervision to social work staff and students working in rehabilitation programs
  • Communicating with clients’ family, carers, and other service providers
  • Attending relevant special interest groups and other professional development activities
  • Conducting education sessions for a range of staff within the service or division
  • Prescribing and arranging for the provision of appropriate services

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical management within geriatric services, including program evaluation and service development, combined with a broad base of experience in Social Work practice
  • Ability to critically analyse or evaluate issues related to clinical care in social work in a manner that can be applied to quality activities, service evaluation, or research
  • Demonstrated a high level of oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop reports, proposals, and presentations
  • Ability to contribute to professional education, the training of discipline-specific students, and to research
