Are you passionate about providing high-quality care and making a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker (Residential) to join our team and provide direct client services to residents of our Residential Care Home.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • bed making
  • bathing, showering, personal hygiene and grooming
  • toileting/continence management
  • maintenance of mobility/dexterity
  • distribution of clean laundry/personal attire
  • cleaning of equipment, aids, utensils in work area and cleanliness and neatness of clients environment
  • transportation of clients.
  • assist with self-administration of medication on medical authority
  • assist with the provision of routine treatments and procedures

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Empathy and commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality
  • Ability to meet deadlines and timeframes
  • Experience in exercising your own judgment and initiative in the day to day execution of a position
