Are you a passionate and highly skilled Cardiologist with expertise in Interventional Electrophysiology? With the opening of our new Cardiac Outpatient Clinic at Modbury Hospital in March 2026, you’ll be part of a team expanding access to world-class cardiac care for the northern Adelaide community.

About the Role:
As a Consultant Cardiologist – Interventional Electrophysiologist, you will:
- Provide specialist care for cardiac inpatients and outpatients, with a focus on electrophysiology diagnosis, intervention, and management.
- Perform advanced procedures including electrophysiology studies, ablations, and cardiac device implantation and optimisation.
- Contribute to the development of cardiology systems and models of care within NALHN and SA Health.
- Lead and participate in teaching programs for medical students, trainees, and junior doctors.
- Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives, including clinical trials and collaborative academic projects.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centred care.
This is a senior clinical role offering the chance to influence service delivery, mentor future specialists, and advance electrophysiology practice in a supportive teaching hospital environment.
The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
About You:
You are an experienced Cardiologist with:
- Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, specialist registration with AHPRA, and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
- Expertise: Demonstrated clinical and technical competency in cardiac electrophysiology, including ablation and device implantation.
- Leadership: Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to service development.
- Commitment: Passion for teaching, research, and continuous improvement in patient care.
Desirable attributes include a higher degree (MD or PhD), strong interpersonal skills, and experience in a teaching hospital environment.

Lyell McEwin Hospital – The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital – A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health - The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes.
Forensic Mental Health - A statewide service that operates as part of the Division of Mental Health for forensic patients and prisoners.
Community Sites - Elizabeth GP Plus, Modbury GP Plus and Gilles Plains GP Plus Super Clinics providing community based care.
