About the role: 

Reporting to the Transition Service Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Facilitating AHP lead therapies across multiple disciplines -may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, dietetics, speech pathology and/or diversional activity groups
  • Monitoring patient response to therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP
  • Providing basic education to patients/groups of patients as directed by AHP staff on discreet topics
  • Assist in maintaining clinical and patient equipment and associated records

About you:

  • Must possess or being undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
  • Experience working in a service environment
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills – able to demonstrate the ability to work with people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to act responsibly in an emergency situation, with an ability to competently undertake pool rescue protocol per the division’s procedures
