About the Role

As a Phlebotomist, you’ll play an essential part in supporting high-quality laboratory services by applying your practical skills with confidence and care. Working under general direction, you’ll perform a range of important tasks that contribute to smooth and timely operations, including venepuncture, specimen collection, courier runs, data entry and the sorting, storage and transport of specimens in line with established protocols. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will help ensure every sample is processed safely, efficiently and with respect for patients and colleagues.

In this role, you’ll also be a trusted point of contact for both internal and external customers, responding to enquiries with professionalism, empathy and clear communication. Your ability to stay organised, keep calm under pressure and work collaboratively will be key to delivering reliable, patient-focused services. About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the skills, experience and personal qualities needed to contribute effectively within a busy pathology environment.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work under pressure.

  • Proven organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work with limited supervision.

  • Confident communicator with a commitment to excellent customer service and the ability to work cooperatively within a team.

  • Experience in pathology laboratory operations, customer enquiries and information systems, with the ability to identify and escalate issues appropriately.
