About the role: 

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

  • Provide clinical care coordination for people referred to the service. 
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating care plans in conjunction with the person and their family.
  • Applying evidence based interventions to assist people to manage a complex mental health crisis.
  • Work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, share clinical information, and facilitate seamless transitions between services.

About you:

  • Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing/Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing consumer/client and family centred care
  • Ability to be, creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting
  • Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
  • Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses

This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHA1, AHA2 or AHA3 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
