Your ability to build trusting relationships, tailor communication to diverse audiences and support colleagues in culturally competent, consumer-centred practice will be essential. This is a fulfilling opportunity to influence meaningful change, enhance health outcomes for vulnerable populations, and provide leadership across portfolios—including NSQHS Standard 2, compliance, and continuous practice improvement—ensuring our services remain responsive, inclusive and aligned with best practice.

RN-3  As the Manager, Consumer Engagement and Health Promotion, you’ll play a key leadership role in shaping how we partner with consumers, carers and communities across the Central Adelaide Local Health Network. Working within a dynamic primary health care and correctional health environment, you’ll bring your clinical nursing expertise and your ability to connect with diverse and vulnerable populations to drive meaningful engagement and improved health outcomes. With a strong focus on strategic direction and innovation, you’ll lead the development, implementation and evaluation of high-quality consumer engagement initiatives—ranging from presentations and written materials to service-wide participation opportunities. Your work will help strengthen community understanding of the value of consumer involvement and ensure their voices are embedded in decision making, governance and service improvement.

In this role, you’ll provide trusted leadership, guidance and mentorship to colleagues across the directorate, supporting culturally competent, inclusive and flexible engagement practices. You’ll also champion health promotion initiatives that empower consumers to take control of their health, lead the service’s response to the Model of Care for Aboriginal Prisoner Health and Wellbeing, and actively contribute to the SA Prison Health Consumer Advisory Committee.
