About the Role

As our Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll play a vital part in guiding the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care. Drawing on your clinical knowledge and experience, you’ll provide pivotal coordination across the unit, ensuring every patient receives seamless, attentive and compassionate care. You’ll work closely with your team and the broader multidisciplinary group to maintain continuity, uphold best practice standards and support positive health outcomes for patients and their families.

In this leadership role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations while nurturing a positive, supportive and growth-focused team culture. You’ll lead, mentor and empower staff, championing high standards of practice and confidently addressing gaps between policy and care delivery. Your commitment to collaboration, accountability and service excellence will help shape a workplace where staff feel valued and patients feel truly cared for. About You

You’re an experienced and motivated nursing leader who is passionate about delivering person-centred care and fostering a positive, supportive team culture. With strong clinical capability and a collaborative mindset, you bring the skills, knowledge and leadership needed to guide high-quality care and continuous improvement.

• Registered (or eligible) Nurse with a current practising certificate and at least three years’ post-registration experience, with competence in the relevant clinical area.

• Proven leadership strengths, including advanced communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, negotiation and change-management capabilities.

• Demonstrated experience managing teams, developing staff potential, supervising nurses and students, and contributing to person- and family-centred models of care.

• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, professional standards, industrial frameworks and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, with a commitment to innovation, flexibility and consumer engagement.
