About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Capacity Nurse Consultant within the Division of Surgical Specialties and Anaesthesia.

Are you an experienced nursing professional with a passion for improving patient care and hospital efficiency? We are seeking a dynamic Patient Flow Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing patient movement across multiple hospitals and wards.

In this role, you will oversee intra- and inter-hospital transfers, identify candidates for the My Home Hospital program, and ensure timely discharges and accurate capacity updates. You will actively participate in key planning meetings, collaborate with clinical teams, the Network of Operations Centre and external facilities, and advocate for the effective use of resources to maintain surgical and medical capacity.

As a senior clinician, you will provide advanced nursing expertise and clinical leadership within your area of practice. Recognised as an expert in your specialty, you will exercise a high degree of autonomy and decision-making while working across diverse clinical settings. Your responsibilities include accountability for nursing practice, patient outcomes, professional advice, and delegation of care, as well as ensuring alignment between practice and policy.

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
