About the role: 

Reporting to the Workstream Lead - Technology Strategy (Operationally) Data Insights & Analytics Manager (Professionally), some of your duties for the role will include:

  • In consultation with other stakeholders, write or contribute to briefings for executives, media and the Minister on key data issues or publications
  • Extract, compile and produce statistical reports, information papers, briefs, responses, online data products and other relevant documents that support the work of our customers, both internal and external to the Department
  • Apply a range of business analysis methodologies and techniques using a variety of information delivery technologies
  • Contribute to project briefs, project plans, and recommendations in relation to appropriate project/program milestones

About you:

  • Ability to conceptualise and scope a problem, design, and apply appropriate analysis, and formulate solutions in a clear and resourceful manner
  • Experience in the manipulation, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data sourced from various reporting environments to provide the data and information to a variant of audiences and in various format (reports and publications)
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise commitments, and to meet deadlines while keeping customers aware of status and the Manager informed of workload, whilst maintaining high quality data and reporting standards
  • Experience using SQL for data extraction
