    • WHA3  $1,106.10 to $1,117.60 per week + 12% Superannuation + Leave Loading and Salary Sacrifice Benefits
    • WHA4  $1,128.60 to $1,140.30 per week + 12% Superannuation + Leave Loading and Salary Sacrifice Benefits
  • Temporary Part Time position working 32 hours per week (up to 12 June 2026)
  • Eligibility Open to Everyone 

Please note: Classification and remuneration may be adjusted in line with the new Weekly Paid Enterprise Agreement once implementation arrangements are finalised.

About the Role

An opportunity is available to join the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) as a CSSD Attendant, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality sterilisation services across clinical areas. Working under limited direction, you will contribute to the effective processing, preparation, and supply of sterile equipment essential to patient care. Appointment and classification at WHA3 or WHA4 will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

How Will You Contribute?

In this role, you will:

  • Perform decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilisation, and distribution of clinical instruments and equipment
  • Operate and monitor sterilising and cleaning equipment in accordance with policies, procedures, and AS/NZS standards
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with infection control and workplace safety requirements
  • Identify and report faulty instruments, equipment issues, and cycle variances
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to support efficient CSSD operations and timely supply to clinical areas
  • Provide assistance and guidance to colleagues within scope of practice, with WHA4 roles supporting higher-level duties and on-the-job training as required

Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals who:

  • Have experience working in a CSSD or perioperative environment (or a willingness to undertake training)
  • Hold, or are willing to obtain, an AQF Certificate III in Sterilising Technology (required for WHA4 classification)
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of infection control principles, sterilisation processes, and workplace safety
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Can work under limited direction and manage competing priorities

Classification Information

WHA3: Suitable for applicants developing skills and experience in sterilisation services

WHA4: Suitable for applicants with demonstrated CSSD experience and completion of Certificate III in Sterilising Technology

Appointment level will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
