About the role

We are looking for a Senior Dietitian or Dietitian to provide specialised nutrition care for inpatients and outpatients, including assessment, education, and care planning. Collaborate with clinical teams, provide advice on service delivery, and support professional development. Reports to the Manager, Nutrition.

Key duties of the role (AHP2/AHP3)

  • Provide nutrition care and education for inpatients and outpatients
  • Manage therapeutic diets and liaise with food services
  • Contribute to clinical resources, patient documentation, and specialist teams
  • Support food service quality projects and supervise students
  • Participate in professional development, health promotion, and community education

Skills and Experience (AHP2/AHP3)

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics; eligible for Dietitians Association of Australia membership
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in clinical nutrition care, including student teaching and supervision
  • Knowledge of paediatric and maternal nutrition, clinical nutrition, and food/infant formula management
  • Experience in quality improvement, research, or evidence-based practice

Additional for AHP3

  • High-level specialist clinical experience and expert knowledge in paediatric/maternal nutrition
  • Leadership, staff supervision, and consultancy skills
  • Understanding of clinical governance and service development
