Join Our Team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Lead, Support, and Deliver Excellence in Care

Are you ready to take the next step in your nursing career? We’re seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to provide high-quality nursing and/or midwifery services while supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in leading and developing the ward or unit team.

About the Role:

In this role as the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, your clinical experience and leadership skills to ensure the delivery of safe, consistent, and person-centred care. You’ll take accountability for your own practice standards, delegate effectively, and guide less experienced staff in their professional growth.

As an integral member of the leadership team, you’ll assist the Nurse Unit Manager with performance management, recruitment, staffing, rostering, and resource planning. You’ll also contribute to the implementation of practice improvements and promote continuity of care across the service.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
  • Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 53.2 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

  • DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)

  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
