About the role

SA Pharmacy and the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) are opening a brand new fit for purpose Noarlunga Hospital Pharmacy Dispensary as of October 20th 2025. This coincides with a Pharmacy workforce uplift and new General Medicine and Mental Health wards. This is a unique opportunity to lead the Pharmacy Dispensary team in collaboration with the Senior Pharmacy Technician Service Coordinator and management team.

As a Senior Pharmacist and Pharmacy Team Leader, you will play a key leadership role in managing a team of pharmacists, assistants, technicians and administrative staff to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, safe and efficient pharmacy service. You will provide mentoring, guidance and professional support to your team, ensuring Medication Management directives, policies and procedures are consistently applied across the designated area. Acting as the central point of contact for pharmacy-related matters, you will work collaboratively with clinicians and service units to optimise patient outcomes and uphold excellence in medication safety and use.

You will be responsible for leading performance and development initiatives, conducting practice reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. In partnership with other team leaders and the Deputy Directors of Pharmacy, you will contribute to the advancement of departmental operations, ensuring adherence to Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Standards of Practice and compliance with all legal and governance requirements. You are an experienced and forward-thinking Pharmacist who leads with professionalism, adaptability and a commitment to excellence in patient-centred pharmacy services. With strong leadership and communication skills, you thrive in dynamic healthcare settings and are driven to support, mentor and develop your team while ensuring safe, effective and efficient medication management.

  • Qualifications & Registration: Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and are registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

  • Leadership & Experience: Bring extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice with proven success in leading, supervising and managing multidisciplinary teams.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across clinical teams and provide expert advice and guidance.

  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Skilled in research, analysis and strategic thinking, with the flexibility, resilience and time management to meet competing priorities and drive continuous service improvement.
