Port Lincoln is situated on the southern tip of the scenic Eyre Peninsula. About the role

As a Technical Officer (TGO2), you will play an integral role in delivering a high-quality, multi-disciplined pathology service within a regional laboratory setting. You will contribute your technical expertise and judgement to ensure the accurate and efficient performance of laboratory operations that support both diagnostic and research outcomes.

In this role, you will take ownership of a range of technical responsibilities, working independently or as the leader of small project teams to support research, operational and project programs. You will also provide technical supervision, ensuring best practice standards are maintained, and offer insights and recommendations on the suitability of equipment, procedures and processes. About You

You are a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Officer who takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality laboratory work within a collaborative and safety-focused environment. With strong technical skills and a proactive approach, you demonstrate initiative, reliability and professionalism in supporting the delivery of quality pathology services.

  • Qualifications & Expertise: Hold a recognised Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant laboratory discipline, bringing sound technical knowledge and practical laboratory experience.

  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Skilled in managing varied workloads, prioritising effectively, troubleshooting issues and maintaining quality control in accordance with laboratory procedures.

  • Teamwork & Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work independently or as part of a team while providing support, training and guidance to colleagues.

  • Professionalism & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated commitment to customer service, attention to detail and the ability to use initiative to resolve technical challenges and meet organisational goals.
