About the Role

As Warehouse Coordinator with the Rural Support Service – Biomedical Engineering (RSS-BME), you will play a vital role in ensuring the availability, safety, and compliance of biomedical technology that supports patient care across South Australia’s public hospitals and health facilities. Based within Torrensville, this role offers the opportunity to coordinate inventory, manage the movement of biomedical equipment and consumables, and contribute to projects that directly impact health outcomes. You will be joining a collaborative team that values safety, precision, and continuous improvement.  The position also requires travel across both metropolitan and regional locations, with some overnight stays, to support SA Health sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage parts, equipment, and consumable inventories at the RSS-BME corporate warehouse.
  • Oversee the receipt, dispatch, transfer, and disposal of biomedical technology across SA Health sites.
  • Assist with functional checks and stock management to ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and fit for use.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, risk management, and operational projects that support biomedical engineering services.

  • Organised and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and within a team to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Culturally aware, with experience engaging Aboriginal consumers and a willingness to undertake further training in this area.

The RSS is a business unit in SA Health and provides services throughout regional South Australia to support the six regional local health networks (LHNs).
