  • Base Salary Range:
    • $1,106.10 - $1,117.60 per week (pro rata) | WHA3
    • $1,128.60 - $1,140.30 per week (pro rata) | WHA4
  • In addition to base salary, this position attracts Superannuation, Leave Loading, and Salary Sacrificing Benefits (salary packaging). 

Please note that as this position is multi-classed as either a WHA3 or WHA4, the classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.

About the Role:

Join our team as a Community Support Worker with Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network and play a vital role in our Consumer Directed Care model, where clients have greater control over their lives and the services they receive. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide personal care, cleaning, meal preparation, transport and social support to older people, people living with disability, or residents in aged care facilities - helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. Working closely with consumers, their families, and health professionals, you’ll bring empathy, flexibility, and autonomy to your work while being supported with opportunities for ongoing education and skill development to deliver responsive, person-centred care.

 

About You:

WHA3

  • Current drivers licence and willingness to drive.
  • Current police clearances (refer Criminal History Clearance Requirements clause).
  • Contactable by telephone.
  • Access to a reliable, registered and insured (minimum of third-party insurance) motor vehicle.
  • Meet immunisation requirements as outlined by the Immunisation Guidelines for Health Care Workers in South Australia 2014.

WHA4

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
  • Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

  • This is a multiple positions part time vacancy, hours to be negotiated and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
