About the Role

In this entry-level role you’ll work side-by-side with experienced Enrolled and Registered Nurses, gaining practical skills and confidence as you assist with patient care. About You

We are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care. To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
  • A strong commitment to delivering person-centred care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Experience in providing nursing care within your scope of practice and in line with professional standards.
  • A sound understanding of the Assistant in Nursing role, including relevant legislation, standards, and ethical guidelines.

Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for this role you will need to:

  • Be currently enrolled as a student in a recognised and approved program of study, Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery course, leading to registration as a registered nurse (level 1), with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; AND
  • Have completed any training required by the employer relevant to the safe and competent performance of work at this level; AND
    • AIN 2nd Year: must have successfully completed the first year of undergraduate nursing degree; OR
    • AIN 3rd Year: must have successfully completed the first and second year of undergraduate nursing degree; AND
  • Hold a current student registration with AHPRA in accordance with National Law; AND
  • Be otherwise eligible for employment within SA Health.
