Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement

At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract.

About the Role

As a Medical Practitioner in the Department of Anaesthesia at Royal Adelaide Hospital, you will play a vital role in managing the care of patients requiring anaesthetic services. Working closely with Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals, you will support patients in the Advanced Recovery Room Care (ARRC) and contribute to PARC Clinical Research, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality care.

You will also actively contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, helping to enhance patient outcomes and service efficiency. With a commitment to clinical teaching, this role offers the opportunity to share your expertise, support professional development, and be part of a collaborative, innovative, and patient-focused team.

• Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia with relevant post-graduate experience

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams

• Committed to professional development and enthusiastic participation in departmental activities

• Knowledgeable in clinical standards, investigations, treatments, and research principles
