Overview:

  • The Director, Project Design is a senior executive leader responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the New Women’s and Children’s Hospital Project (Project) design process, from concept design to delivery phases.
  • The role ensures that technical, engineering and design outputs meet the Project objectives, specifically stakeholder outcomes within the Project requirements of scope, quality, safety, assurance, schedule and budget.
  • The role will facilitate effective collaboration and communication between Project Design team, professional services contractors, the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Network (WCHN) and whole Project team to ensure alignment.
  • The role needs to strategically consider how design decisions and choices will impact WCHN in the long term, considering future needs, operational impacts and flexibility in design.
  • The role will provide expert advice to various levels of Project Governance on resolving any design challenges that impact the Project objectives.
  • The role will encourage and foster innovation and creativity within the Design Team to develop solutions that lead to best practice design outcomes, keeping abreast of national and global trends to inform design.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC)  for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
  • A DHS ‘Working With Children Check’ (WWCC) is required for this position.

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
