About the Role

As the Education Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of DonateLife education and training within your jurisdiction. You will design, deliver and oversee a range of nationally consistent learning programs, from the Professional Education Package (PEP) to workshops such as Introductory Awareness Training (IDAT) and Family Donation Conversation sessions. In this role, you will be the go-to person for ensuring education activities are current, accessible, and impactful—supporting DonateLife staff while also contributing to broader community awareness initiatives.

Working collaboratively as part of the national Education Coordinators Network, you will share best practices, contribute to national projects, and support the ongoing evaluation and improvement of education initiatives. Your clinical knowledge and experience will allow you to provide high-quality training and guidance to staff, while your leadership ensures accuracy in administration, alignment with policy, and a positive culture of learning. About You

You are a highly skilled and motivated Nurse or Midwife who is passionate about education and professional development in healthcare. With strong clinical expertise and a proven background in teaching and staff development, you are ready to bring innovation, leadership, and creativity to the delivery of high-quality education programs that support both staff and community engagement.

  • Current registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, supported by at least five years’ post-registration experience, preferably in critical care, organ donation, or education.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing or midwifery education programs, applying contemporary education theory to practice.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence, support change, and promote consumer engagement initiatives.

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, standards, and quality improvement systems, with the flexibility to apply innovative teaching methods across diverse settings.
