About the role

As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the organisation, management, and smooth operation of a designated pharmacy area. You will deliver a comprehensive range of high-level pharmacy services, applying your clinical expertise and independent judgement to provide accurate medicines information and therapeutic advice. Working closely with patients, doctors, nurses, and other health professionals, you will ensure services are delivered in line with professional standards, hospital policies, and best practice guidelines.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in optimising patient outcomes by implementing strategies that promote the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of medicines. Your contribution will not only support high-quality patient care but also foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring pharmacy services continue to meet the evolving needs of the hospital and wider community.

About You

You are a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist with a strong foundation in clinical practice and a passion for improving patient outcomes. With excellent communication and leadership skills, you are confident in managing complex workloads, supporting colleagues, and driving service excellence in a hospital pharmacy environment.

  • Registered (or eligible) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia, holding a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent), with extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, educate staff, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Proven organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to research, analyse data, and implement strategies for improving pharmacy services.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practice, codes of practice, and professional standards, with demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
