At Wallaroo Hospital and Health Service, we’re seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Emergency Department Administration Officer to provide vital administrative support in our fast-paced, 24/7 Emergency Department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional administrative support to the Emergency Department, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Handle word processing, data entry, record maintenance to State Records Standards, and information management.
  • Support Sunrise EMR requirements for our Hub/Spoke model, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely.
  • Respond to diverse, often complex, administrative needs in a high-pressure environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage staff, patients, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and maintain focus in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in front-line service and administrative support, providing compassionate assistance to those in need.
  • Proven track record of handling sensitive information with discretion and delivering high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong administrative skills, including proficiency with Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality principles, customer service practices, and workplace safety.
  • Ability to work with tact, diplomacy, and empathy in sensitive situations.
