About the role

As a Data Analyst within the Costing Section, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, timely and meaningful insights that drive high-quality business decision-making across SCSS. You’ll provide expert data analysis and information services that support key projects and business priorities, ensuring leaders and teams have the tools and knowledge they need to make informed choices. Working in a dynamic environment, you’ll have the opportunity to transform complex information into clear, actionable insights that shape the future of healthcare analytics.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of Executive Dashboards, develop data models, create user and technical documentation, and build business analytic tools that enhance organisational capability. You’ll also play an important part in promoting the effective use of SA Health’s corporate data, ensuring colleagues across the organisation gain maximum value from these resources. About You

You’re a motivated and analytical professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights. You thrive in dynamic environments, can balance competing priorities, and enjoy collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Technical expertise – Demonstrated experience with Power BI, large Excel datasets, statistical packages, and data modelling, with the ability to collate, manage and analyse large volumes of information from multiple systems.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills – Proven ability to apply advanced statistical and data analysis methods, interpret complex information, and provide clear recommendations that support business decision-making.

  • Project and innovation focus – Strong track record in planning, managing and delivering project-related work, including the identification and implementation of innovative technology solutions to meet strategic information needs.

  • Communication and collaboration – Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, foster a customer-focused approach, and adapt to change while working under pressure.
