Join Our Team as a Direct Care Worker (Residential) – Support Residents with Compassionate, Person-Centred Care

Are you passionate about helping people live safely and comfortably in a residential care setting? We’re seeking a dedicated Direct Care Worker (Residential) to provide hands-on support to residents, enhancing their wellbeing and quality of life.

About the Role:

The Direct Care Worker (Residential) assists in delivering direct client services to residents of the Residential Care Home. Working under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will collaborate closely with health professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide compassionate, person-centred care that prioritises the dignity, safety, and wellbeing of every resident.

What We’re Looking For:

• Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
• Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day to day execution of a position.
• Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health related field.
• Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
• Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

Applicant Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 36 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

• DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
• National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
• Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
