WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Nursing and Midwifery Advisor to join the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. In this senior leadership role, you will be at the forefront of shaping and advancing nursing and midwifery practice across a diverse and dynamic health network.
You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and clinical teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives, policies, and frameworks that enhance patient care, promote professional excellence, and foster innovation. This role offers the opportunity to lead significant projects, influence system-wide change, and support the development of a resilient, skilled, and future-ready nursing and midwifery workforce.

The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network runs from Kangaroo Island to Eudunda, wrapping all the way around our metropolitan areas. WHERE WILL YOU WORK?
Our network is made up of many sites, that run from Gawler in the North to Kangaroo Island in the South, we have access to offices in the middle of the CBD, and some of our locations offer hot desk arrangements. We will work with you to ensure a suitable location or locations are made available to you across one or many of our sites. You will also have the option to spend some time each week working from home. This will be negotiated with you should you be successful.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Do you have at least 5 years of post-registration experience and proven leadership in nursing or midwifery at a senior level?
- Can you lead complex projects and strategic change across health systems with confidence and clarity?
- Do you demonstrate advanced communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills in managing diverse stakeholders?
- Can you apply your deep knowledge of clinical governance, workforce development, and healthcare policy to drive service excellence?

- Lead the development and implementation of nursing/midwifery strategies, policies, and frameworks to support excellence in clinical practice and workforce development.
- Provide expert professional advice on contemporary nursing/midwifery issues, leading change initiatives and strategic service improvements.
- Deliver strategic project management for complex or statewide programs, including evaluation, risk mitigation, and reporting.
- Champion a culture of innovation, learning, and patient-centred care across multidisciplinary teams and services.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?
