About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Division of Paediatric Medicine team as Enrolled Nurse, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing safe, person-centred nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, applying skills in assessment and routine procedures within scope of practice.
  • Supporting the healthcare team by assisting with patient care, overseeing Assistants in Nursing (AINs), and mentoring students.
  • Delivering education and information to patients, families, and carers to promote health and wellbeing.
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice to enhance care delivery.
  • Maintaining professional development by engaging in ongoing learning and supporting research activities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding or eligible for a current practicing certificate.
  • Completion of a Board-approved medication administration program, including an administration of medicines unit.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload, identify and report changes in clinical condition, and provide person-centred care.
  • Experience delivering nursing care in a healthcare setting consistent with professional standards.
  • Knowledge of the Enrolled Nurse role, relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, ethics, and competency frameworks.
