About the Role

As a Ward Clerk within the North 1B Ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day functioning of a busy acute care environment. Your core responsibility will be to provide high-quality administrative support and efficient front-line service delivery. From managing patient records and coordinating admissions and discharges to liaising with clinical teams and supporting public enquiries, you will be at the heart of ward operations, ensuring patients, families, and staff receive seamless service.

Working within a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team, this role offers the opportunity to engage directly with nursing and medical staff, as well as patients and the public, all while maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of essential health records. About You

You will be a highly organised and adaptable individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a clinical setting.

  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision while managing high workloads and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative environments, including computerised systems such as Sunrise and Oracle.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with sensitivity to patients, staff, and families.
  • Subject to relevant vaccination and clearance requirements.
