About the role

Be part of a dynamic regional healthcare team as a Technical Officer with SA Pathology, supporting vital diagnostic services across South Australia. This role offers full training across all disciplines, with prior experience valued but not required. Relocation reimbursement may be available in line with guidelines, and there are opportunities for professional development, including travel within and outside the state. Based in Berri, along the Murray River in the heart of the Riverland, you’ll enjoy a lifestyle surrounded by vineyards, citrus orchards, and fresh local produce. The region is rich in national parks and river activities such as fishing, camping, hiking, and water sports. This hands-on role will see you applying your technical knowledge across areas such as Microbiology, Haematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine. You'll collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety while also participating in quality improvement and professional development activities. About You

You’re a technically capable and motivated individual with a passion for laboratory science and a strong commitment to accuracy and patient care.

  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved and recognised laboratory qualification

  • General lab experience, with skills in sample collection, data entry, and diagnostic testing

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

  • Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance (NPC), and subject to immunisation requirements
