About the role

Experience in specimen collection, medical terminology or data entry is preferred, but not essential as on the job training will be provided. Minimal shift work required. Initial training shifts at SA Pathology Pt Lincoln will be required. Annual locality allowance as per Commissioner's Determination 3.2 will apply.

We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our dynamic team, where your skills and care will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred pathology services. Working under general direction, you'll perform a range of hands-on duties that make a real difference — from venepuncture and specimen collection, to preparing, storing, and transporting samples in line with established protocols. You'll also assist with essential lab support tasks including data entry, sorting, and accessioning of specimens, ensuring efficiency and accuracy at every stage.

In this vital front-line role, you’ll be a key point of contact for both internal teams and external clients, responding to enquiries with professionalism, warmth, and a solutions-focused mindset. Whether you're on a courier run, helping with preparatory duties, or managing specimen flow, your contribution will help ensure the smooth and timely delivery of essential healthcare services. About You

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

  • Confident working under pressure and using initiative with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service

  • Previous experience in pathology or laboratory settings, with sound IT knowledge
