About the Role

As the Director, Safety and Quality, you will lead and inspire CALHN’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care across our health network. Reporting to the Medical Director, Clinical Governance, this senior leadership role oversees Safety and Quality services, ensuring compliance with National, SA Health and CALHN frameworks. You will be responsible for shaping and driving strategies that promote patient safety, strengthen clinical governance, and support continuous quality improvement, while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Your leadership will play a vital role in embedding a culture of excellence, accountability and innovation in the way care is delivered.

In this highly influential role, you will provide expert advice and strategic guidance on patient safety, governance and risk to executive leaders, clinical directors and governance committees. You will champion the development and implementation of a systematic approach to safety, quality and risk management that enables sustainable improvement and aligns with CALHN’s strategic goals. With your passion for advancing patient care and your ability to engage and inspire others, you will help ensure our services not only meet compliance requirements but also deliver compassionate, safe and effective care to the communities we serve.

Qualifications for AHP-6  An allied health degree which entitles registration with the relevant professional body or for self-regulated professions in eligibility for membership with the professional association.

Qualifications for RN5.2  Post graduate studies in nursing, health services management, law, or human services relevant to the area of practice.
