Duration of the training program: 12 months from 1/7/27 up to 30/6/28

Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement

At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract.

About the Role

Join a high-performing General Plastic Surgery and Burns team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. You will deliver expert care, manage complex cases and build strong clinical links, while shaping safe, patient-centred services in a supportive training environment.

Duties
• Deliver high-quality plastic surgery and burns care
• Manage acute and complex patient caseloads
• Build strong links with nursing and MDT colleagues
• Liaise with supervisors, heads of unit and specialists
• Support training, learning and professional growth
• Partner with patients and external care services
• Attend forums, workshops and development events

About You

You are a skilled Plastic Surgery Fellow who values teamwork, learning and excellent patient care, and is ready to contribute to a busy tertiary service.

• FRACS or equivalent, eligible for Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration
• Strong skills across plastic surgery, burns, clinics and theatres
• Proven interest and experience in burns patient care
• Clear communicator who works well in multidisciplinary teams
• Research aware, adaptable and committed to quality improvement
