For those with a passion in geriatrics and dementia, we have a position within the 2B Specialist Geriatric Dementia Unit at the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre.  The OTs within this unit play a pivotal role in care planning, behavioural support, discharge planning, provision of equipment, ADL support and supportive practices.

Key Responsibilities

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and assisting in identifying services required through their patient journey?  In your role, you will:  

  • Provide high level high level professional judgement, clinical reasoning, and skills to the clinical management of patients with significant levels of complexity.
  • Work with a broad and diverse range of multi-disciplinary health professionals within the largest health system in South Australia.
  • Provide clinical leadership, education, coordination, and support for patients, staff, and agencies.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and autonomy in decision-making, contributing significantly to our mission of enhancing patient outcomes. This will suit an Occupational Therapist with at least five years’ experience and will build your career and professional development in this field.

Qualifications

  • An appropriate Degree or equivalent which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA) and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
