About the role: 

Reporting to the Senior Clinical Data Analyst Lead, this role is responsible for the delivery of objective, high quality, professional and contribute to timely statistical analysis, interpretation and reporting of health-related data that is critical to and addresses the information requirements of SALHN. The Data Analyst will also assist in production and contribution of routine and ad-hoc reports, publications, and online information products, provide relevant expert data use and presentation advice as required, and extract, collate and report data to satisfy the Department’s statutory reporting obligations. 

Duties for the role will include:

  • Extract, compile/contribute to produce statistical reports, information papers, briefs, responses, online data products and other relevant documents that support the work of our customers, both internal and external to the Department,
  • Apply a range of business analysis methodologies and techniques using a variety of information delivery technologies,
  • Participate in the design, implementation and testing of best practice systems, processes and standards used for extraction, manipulation, reporting and analysis of data to enable accurate and timely provision of information and analysis of data,
  • Development of project briefs, project plans, and recommendations in relation to appropriate project/program milestones.

About you:

  • Ability to conceptualise and scope a problem, design, and apply appropriate analysis, and formulate solutions in a clear and resourceful manner,
  • Well developed, professional and effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus,
  • Experience in the manipulation, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of complex data sourced from various reporting environments to provide the data and information to a variant of audiences and in various format (reports and publications),
  • Experience with hospital operations or clinical experience.
