About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Information Systems Management team as a Nursing/Midwifery Manager – Digital Information Systems, where you will be responsible for:

  • Support Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers within WABs to monitor and review local data to ensure compliance with KPI requirements.
  • Ensure accurate collection and submission of perinatal clinical data in line with coding guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage the collection of data for the Supplementary Birth Record and meet all other relevant legislative requirements.
  • Provide system support for obstetric platforms, including Intelli Space Perinatal and other relevant health information systems.
  • Ensure clinical information systems are configured, maintained, and optimised to support high-quality patient care and its evaluation.
  • Actively promote and facilitate the effective use of clinical systems, enabling staff to maximise benefits in reviewing and improving their own practice.

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability work in a complex environment, respond quickly to requests and achieve results within given and often tight timeframes.
  • Registered Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
  • Significant experience in health informatics.
  • Significant Electronic Medical Record knowledge.
